NSHS Bands Excel at UIL
The NSHS bands performed at the UIL Concert and Sightreading Contest on April 15 & 16. All three concert bands received the 'Sweepstakes' award. Congratulations to all students for their hard work!
Twitter with the Trojan Band!
The NSHS Band is now on Twitter! This is a great way to keep up with what's going on in band and an instant way to get news and updates from Mr. Kay.

Set up your mobile phone as follows:

Go to www.twitter.com and set up a free account.

Once you are logged in, click on the drop down box on the top right side of the screen and select 'Settings'. Click on 'Mobile' from the menu on the left. Click the checkbox 'Text notifications - Tweets from people you've enabled for mobile notifications'. Click 'Save changes'. Make sure you enter your phone number preceeded by a +1 (ex. +19729685327).

Once your phone is set up, go to www.twitter.com/NSHStrojanband. Click the box that says 'Follow'. Click on the drop down box and click 'Turn on mobile notifications'.

And you are all set! From now on you will receive Text Message Notifications from the NSHS Band. If you want to stop receiving messages from the band, simply reply to any message with OFF.

Note: Be sure to check with your cell provider to make sure text messages are covered in your phone's service plan!

Pictures, Pictures, Pictures!
The NSABC historian will be taking photographs of band and guard students at every event throughout the year. These photographs will be available for you to purchase as prints or digital downloads off of the Pictures link on the NSHS Trojan Band website. You can order prints or download digital image files as you go, or you can create a free account with Zenfolio and create a Collection of your favorite images that you can use later to make a single purchase. 4x6 prints and digital image files are reasonably priced at $1.00 each and other print sizes are available. All proceeds go to NSABC. Please contact David Fedorko for the gallery passwords at david.fedorko@verizon.net.

We hope that you enjoy the galleries as much as we enjoy taking the photographs!
